LISTEN: Jon Nurse stresses the importance of having positive experiences in grassroots football

Jon Nurse of the Surrey FA is passionate about the future of grassroots football, and feels that the overall picture currently is positive.

However Jon is concerned about how grassroots football amongst adults is starting to see a decline, with many resorting to other forms of football, such as 5 a side, due to the straightforward nature of just being able to jump out of a car at a local centre and being able to play a game within minutes.

Jon feels the way to work against this trend is to ensure that young people are having as positive an experience with grassroots football as possible.
